Test Run Barrel Series
RACE 2 ENTRIES OPEN 8/21-8/28

We are so excited to announce our FIRST BARREL SERIES AT DIAMOND J RANCH!
- The “TEST RUN” series will consist of 6 Friday night jackpots: August 1st & 29th, September 19th, October 3rd & 24th, November 7th.
- 75% payback with $100 added for every 15 entries in each class! We must have at least 15 entries for added money. There will be an Open 4D, Youth 4D (18 & under as of January 1st), and Adult 4D (19+). Results will be posted the same day as each race and paybacks will be made via Venmo or Paypal within 24 hours of the results being posted.
- Compete in at least 4/6 races, to qualify for series end awards! Awards will be determined based on a point system. There is a one-time $20 fee to compete for awards for this series which must be paid before entries close for the first race of the series. *MEMBERSHIP ENTRIES CLOSED*
- We will have time slots from 5-8PM to help minimize congestion in our parking area (see our parking layout), and will be utilizing a “haul-in & haul-out” style. This means you’ll show up for your time slot, run, and enjoy the rest of your day without being held up at a barrel race! Please be courteous and make room for others when you have finished your runs. Grounds fee is $15/rider, waived for current Diamond J Ranch boarders/training horse clients. Negative Coggins & helmets for riders under 18 required.
- We will be requiring online pre-entry for each race which will open 1 week before and close 24 hours prior to the race. We will not be accepting day of registration or additional entries once online entries have been closed. The draw will be posted the day of the race and there will be no changes to entries or refunds once entries close. Races will be rain or shine in our covered arena!
We look forward to seeing y’all here! Remember, this is our first barrel series and we will do our very best to make it a great experience for everyone. Please be patient with us as we test our system during this time!

Horsemanship Clinic
Join us on September 6th & 7th, 2025 for our upcoming horsemanship clinic with our trainer, Julz Williams! Instruction will highlight groundwork, foundation principles, personal development, clear communication, confidence building, improving timing, feel, balance, and more. Riders will receive individualized and group coaching, including one-on-one sessions during the clinic. We encourage all ages and levels of riders to participate, as this will be an influential learning experience for all participants!

3rd Annual Tack Swap
Join us on October 18th, 2025 from 9am-12pm for our 3rd annual tack swap!
- The event will be held rain or shine here at the ranch.
- Admission is free and all are welcome, but please leave all pets and horses at home.
- We will be giving farm tours and it will be a great way for anyone who’s interested in what services we have to offer to learn more.
